KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 – KOP Aviation Sdn Bhd (KOPA), the aviation arm subsidiary of KOP Mantap Berhad, wholly owned by Koperasi Polis Diraja Malaysia, announced they have been approved by Civil Aviation Authority, Malaysia as CAAM Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) specialising in Avionics Rating (C13 - Indicating/Recording Systems) during the myAERO 2022 Summit organized by NAICO at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). (KOPA) Accountable Manager Mr Mohd Pazman Othman (pic) said the approval marked an important milestone for all co-operatives (CO-OP) organization in Malaysia, where (KOPA) is the only CO-OP owned organization to hold the approval. This approval will allow (KOPA) to further enhanced their avionics engineering capabilities locally and globally. Hence, developing local Malaysian talents to be trained as avionics workshop specialist.
“In addition to the National Aerospace Blueprint2030, post COVID-19 initiatives through the government efforts and support from NAICO, (KOPA) believed continuing sustainability in aerospace industry is crucial, therefore (KOPA) has embarked into aerospace precision tooling used for major aerospace manufacturing companies in Malaysia and South East Asia” he said during the opening ceremony of myAERO Summit 2022 by MITI YB Senior Minister Dato'Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today.
He said (KOPA) is working closely with technology partners to pursue local certification, research potential market opportunities and infrastructure requirements for aerospace precision tooling brand as RULLZ.
